Bell Island, Newfoundland - Located just a 20 minute ferry ride from Conception Bay, Bell Island is a picturesque community of approximately 2000 people. Most popularly known for its mining history, the Island and its many deposits of rich iron ore, was once considered Canada's longest continuous operating mining project, before closing in the late 1960's. Almost 7 miles of roadways exist underground, enough room to house more people then what lives above.
