The Brandenburg Gate, built between 1788-1791, is the former gate to the city and one of the biggest symbols of not only Berlin, but Germany. It is known as one of Europe's most famous landmarks, and is the only remaining of a series of gates, through which people once entered Berlin. It consists of twelve columns that are arranged to form five passageways, the two outermost which were used by average citizens and the inner three for people of higher class. Sitting on top of the gate is the "Quadriga," a chariot driven by Victoria, the Roman goddess of victory.

1800's you'd probably find Napoleon, 1900's Nazi's and now...... Storm Troopers.

Evolution.
