October 1, 2010- Spectators at the Royal Military College in Kingston
I felt that this day needed a special shout out to those men and women who were the funnest spectators I've ever watched in my life. Most, if not all of these folks, have gone through the very same obstacle course and exhausting ordeal as their first year teams. The cheers and support really did leave me seeing and feeling the close community that exists within this type of military training.
There was everything from pirates to wolves, bare muddy skin and painted faces and even over sized looking smurfs with a guns. The atmosphere of the day was a hyped and intense vibe mixed with fun and challenge.
I enjoyed being the spectator behind the lens, but it stirred in me that dormant idea, that perhaps someday I'll be on the other side of the lens competing for my place.
